erogenous zones

somato-sensory system - our sense of touch is expressed by a complex network of nerve endings and touch receptors known as the somatosensory system. there are many types of touch receptors - thermo-receptors react to temperature, noci-receptors to pain, proprio-receptors to spatial position but it is the mechano-receptors in the epidermis and dermis (the top layers of your skin) that interest us. they perceive sensations like pressure, vibrations and texture

the chemical response - endorphins, serotonin and dopamine are neurotransmitters that are released when the nervous system is stimulated. they can provoke arousal, increased alertness and pleasure in some and deep relaxation and detachment in others.

it's a gradient not a cliff face - erogenous zones are sites on the body that contain highly dense concentrations of mechano-receptors. everyone knows the hot zones-he sexual organs, the lips and the nipples - but fewer people realise that there are many other areas of heightened sensitivity located all over the human body

sensation play body map - what is interesting and quite surprising is how many zones of heightened sensitivity there are. everyone is different. some may work for you or your partner while others will feel like dead zones. we've mapped the different areas of the body but in truth, much of the pleasure is exploring and figuring out what works for you.
